And in an exhilaratingly unrelated turn of events, Mick Jagger wisely preached, "You wake up in the morning and you look at your old spoon, and you say to yourself, 'Mick, it's time to get yourself a new spoon. And you do."
What do these quotes have in common you may ask? Well not too much, Miles just googled "spoon quotes" and "underdog quotes" and selected two of them, put them together in a blog post with similar song and band names and then explained his whole intricate and uncrackable plot to his beloved readers, thus becoming somewhat meta. P.S.C. (post-script-confession) Miles also had to look up Meta to make sure he knew what it meant, he'd only heard all the hipsters using it nonchalantly and wanted to fit in but didn't want to misuse it...so yah, here we are.
Spoon's great, and 'The Underdog' is an upbeat, cheerful (at least musically, perhaps not lyrically), and plain fun song! Enjoy!
