What a find! These guys are really something! Making huge waves in the blogosphere all last year (I guess not here...someone's behind the times) 'The Neighbourhood' (yes, spelled that way you nit-picky parsnips) are great! 'A Little Death' is my favorite song of theirs by far, and once they released the music video...well, you can't tear your eyes away. The song is haunting and sexy and slow, and the music video perfectly matches the song! It starts out prettttty sensual, but has a certain dark edge to it, and as the songs' story plays out, so too does the drama in the video. Everything blows wide open at 2:24, and from 2:45 onward, the whole dark, twisted song comes full circle. It's a little creepy and may not be for everyone, but I think the song is great as a stand alone and really achieves its true potential when matched with the music video. Anyway, epic song either way!
