Swiss Lips: U Got The Power

One of my newest discoveries, Swiss Lips are a lovely and upbeat five-piece dance-electro-pop band from Manchester who are taking my iTunes by storm! Their single 'U Got The Power' is thrumming, danceable goodness, and the rest of their soundcloud page is a refreshing dip into a happy-electro ocean! Check out this quite epic music video and get stoked for their album on April 28th! Let's get these guys as big as indie breakouts Walk The Moon or Imagine Dragons! P.S. If anyone is able to replicate any of these off da' chain dance moves, PLEASE, PLEASE show me!
If the original isn't quite getting your feet moving (perhaps you have an ear infection, a leg infection, or a faulty pacemaker that inhibits strenuous and exuberant dancing) than here's Monsieur Adi's remix of the track, which is very well done and compliments the song nicely!

Love you all! U got the power to make the blog heard! Share, repost, like, listen, sing about it! Merry Wednesday!

  1. Hey!! I'm definitely not able to replicate the dance moves but I love to dance and this song inspired me to post my first video of me dancing by myself the entire time. Check it out. I haven't shared it publicly yet put would love some unbiased feedback!! So don't be afraid to be brutally honest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtqkG-TZ6to

    1. That was awesome! The song is so danceable! I really don't know anything about dancing, but from a music standpoint you seemed like you were responding to and in sync with the music. Your arms did some really cool things! I liked it a lot and good luck with your blog and dancing! Also, I'm fairly positive it is a picture of Swiss Lips haha.

    3. Anytime! I'd be happy to watch more of your dance videos! Awesome, keep listening! Haha, not that creepy, I have the link up there for a reason! Thanks so much, that means a lot, so few people ever comment or interact on here, it's good to know that someone's actually listening and reading!

  2. Also, is that picture above really Swiss Lips? They looks so different, it's hard for me to tell.

  3. You're SO right! It's really hard to get people involved. They silently view the pages but then have nothing to say about it. Clearly, from your blog count, you have a strong following but they stay silent because people hesitate to think for themselves. They like to mindlessly surf the web. I am TOTALLY guilty of that but lately I've been trying to get more engaged. It's been really awesome! I've met some cool people & have even gotten the chance to talk to some bands... including Swiss Lips!! Have you tried reaching out to any bands lately?

  4. I'm so jealous! A few of the smaller remix artists have reached out when they see one of my posts, and at concerts I've gotten to talk to come bands like Pacific Air or Cayucas. You're the first person who's really reached out though. How do you get more followers? Mine are almost entirely just people I know. I've emailed some bands as well such as Sun City, and they've been super nice and supportive!

  5. Ahh, I forgot to link this to my email so I just saw this comment. I think you're doing a great job!! The way I see it, don't focus too much energy on getting more followers... fi you focus on good music & good content, the work will speak for itself. At least, that's how I always think about it. Lately, I've been trying to be very different and think outside of myself. I use to care so much about what other people thought and I basically mastered the art of getting people to "like" me but it was just not very fulfilling. With my blog, I'm trying something very different. I"m putting myself out there in order to help others. It's been kind of tough and emotionally challenging since I've gotten lots of criticism but it's worth it. It's already helped some people. In the end, there will always be someone out there that will appreciate what you're doing so don't give up!
