Passenger: I Hate (Live from The Borderline, London) (Folk Gold)

It's been a minute since any of you have hopped aboard the fantastic folk train that is Passenger! Way back in July of last year I put up some of my favorite songs of his which you can refresh yourself on here. Just this weekend Passenger rode back into my radar with a free EP from Noisetrade which is really excellent!

Usually super soulful and nostalgic, Passenger weaves amazingly intricate stories within his songs and is poignant as they come. With 'I Hate', however, he shows a less serious and more humorous side, listing off funny things that tick him off while still managing to craft a really enjoyable song with a perfect blend of lighter 'hates' and more socially conscious, deep ones! Great, fun song! I'd love to go to one of his live shows, he just looks like a great guy!
'The Wrong Direction' is the title track off his free EP and has a great bounce to it with some wonderful lyrics. The way Passenger delivers some of his lines borders on a rappers pace, but his style is all his own and irresistible to the ears! Enjoy!

Be sure to pick up the whole EP for free at Noisetrade here, and feel free to tip Passenger when you receive your download! Also, absolutely sign up for Noisetrades' email list, they put out a plethora of great (FREE!) stuff every week! A wonderful Wednesday to all!
